Early life and education
Mike was raised in New Jersey alongside his younger brother Collin by their parents – their father is a policeman, and their mother is working at a kindergarten. The two brothers began playing video games at a very early age, while they were also active outside as they played soccer and basketball with their friends.
Mike attended a local high school in Freehold Township in New Jersey, and while there played tennis and soccer, but didn’t manage to make his way into the school’s basketball team. Career as a YouTuber
After three years of doing jobs he didn’t like, he decided to focus on his career on the Internet, and launched his career as a YouTuber on 6 May 2013 – he opened his eponymous channel with his bio section reading ‘If you like the NBA, you will like this channel.

Either way, welcome!’ He admitted in an interview how he was never expecting to become a popular YouTuber, but was devoted to what he was doing as he enjoys it. He has been steadily building his fanbase, which has led to him having over 1.56 million subscribers today. All of his videos are in one way or another connected to the National Basketball Association (NBA), while most of these are gameplays of the NB2 2K video games.
Mike’s videos have so far been viewed over 342 million times – two of his most viewed videos are “7 Stories That PROVE Michael Jordan WAS NOT HUMAN (THE TRUTH!)” seen almost nine million times since its upload on 13 May 2016, and “5 Sons of NBA LEGENDS Who Play Just Like Their Dads!” seen close to eight million times since it’s upload on 6 December 2016.
Mike launched another channel on 2 August 2014 with his friend Mason Fick, called “BroConfessions”: their bio section reads ‘Bringing you the Best of Bro Humor, Bro Advice, Comedy Sketches and much more! The channel was not as popular as Mike expected, and the pair abandoned it after deleting more than 20 videos that they’d uploaded. It is known that Mike was dating his college sweetheart for over three years while they were both attending St. John’s University, but the two split after the launch of his career on YouTube, as apparently he no longer had time to dedicate to his relationship.
