Hope Beel is a famous fitness model, who develops her career with the help of social media platforms. Her Instagram account has attracted more than 1.2 million subscribers, and counting.
Early life and family
Hope Beel was born on 13 February 1989, in the small town of Texarkana, Texas USA, so holds American nationality and her zodiac sign is Aquarius. She spent her childhood and youth living with her parents – Hope was very close to her mother until she passed away in 2019. Hope dhasn’t revealed any details of the illness her mother suffered from, but shared that she was only 50 years old.
She also wrote on her Instagram account that the time her mother probably died, she felt something unusual; at the same moment she was at her friend’s house and heard the song she and her mother used to dance together when Hope was a child; Hope asked her friend to dance with her, and soon after found out that her mother had passed away. She thought that her mother probably gave her the sign she was ok and finally felt no pain. Hope also wrote that with her mother she also lost her best friend: ‘I’ll forever cherish her amazing spirit and spunky attitude and I’m so grateful that she taught me how to love everyone.
I’m not sure how I’ll manage without my best friend, but all I can do is take it day by day’. Hope also shared that during November 2019 she gave up on intensive training, and lost a lot of muscle, but had no motivation to work out because of her mother’s death. As of 2020, she still lives in Texas, but now in Dallas where she moved to at the end of 2007. She doesn’t want to leave her state as, in her own words, she’s ‘a true Texas girl at heart’.
During her school years Hope was a cheerleader, ran track and ate healthily from her early years. She matriculated from her local high school in Texarkana in 2007, moved to Dallas to enroll at the University of North Texas, and in 2011 graduated with a BA in fashion merchandising.
Starting her way in fitness industry
Hope has always been an athlete, but at the beginning of her training she didn’t want to work with weights, as she thought she would look ‘manly’ or ‘bulky’, but her then-boyfriend Justin insisted she should try to work with a professional trainer. Before that, Hope was a runner, running at least three miles (5kms) every day.
In 2012 Justin encouraged her to enter the NPC Bikini Competition, even though Hope didn’t know a thing about fitness competitions or the fitness industry, but as soon as she got to know the details, she fell in love with it. Developing in dieting, training and weight lifting, Hope qualified nationally.
She participated in six competitions, but realized that she wasn’t enjoying competing: ‘It wasn’t my vision for myself. I didn’t see myself on the Olympia stage, and I just didn’t see bikini fitness being around what I was going to take’, she reflects in one of her YouTube videos. However, the competitions brought her to fitness modelling, which she enjoyed much more than competing.
Social media career and personal training
Since 2013 Hope has been working as an online fitness trainer, having face-to-face training with her clients. She also established her own brand Top Shelf Nutrition, as she wanted to help people to make their body look and feel better, which to her mind is impossible without proper training and good food: ‘My goal is to continue to inspire people. <…> I also want to encourage women to become their best selves through fitness and nutrition and help build their confidence to take the world by storm’, she shared in one of her YouTube videos.
All in all, she’s posted 16 videos on her channel. The most popular are “Boobs” (almost 30,000 views), in which she discusses the advantages and disadvantages of her plastic surgery, and “How I got rid of cellulite” (around 19,000 views), in which Hope shares the details of her massage routine, and other procedures which help her to reduce the amount of cellulite on her legs. She also posted several cooking videos, such as “Healthy Keto Pumpkin Pie Pops” and “Hope Beel Meals (Red Wine Donuts)”.
On her alternative Instagram account – “Hope Beel Fit” – she posts her fitness videos and tips on self-motivation, while working out without a personal trainer. As of 2020, Hope is one of the Elite Models for Bang Energy products. She has also featured on the covers of such magazines as HM Sports, Fitness Gurls, etc.
Personal life, husband Justin Martins
Hope met her future husband Justin Martins in 2011, when she graduated from college. Justin inspired her to enter the fitness industry, and to develop her fitness career, as he was a personal fitness trainer himself. They eventually married on 11 April 2018 in a ceremony in Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy. The couple often visited the resort while travelling around Europe, and chose that place as one of their favorite places to stay in. The wedding party’s main desert was donuts, Hope’s favorite delight. Justin Martin is also a professional photographer; he takes almost all the photos of Hope she posts on her Instagram account. Together with Hope, he posts motivational videos for couples who want to get fit, among them “Fit couple Motivation” and “Fit Couple Beach Workout”.
Hobbies, favorite things and interesting facts
Hope once shared she got her positivity from her mother, who has always been her main role model. She has three cats: Romo, the Scottish fold eared cat, Cowboy, the Scottish straight eared cat, and Vogue, the tabby cat. The cats have their own Instagram account. When a girl, she thought of becoming an actress, but then understood it was hard for her to become ‘someone else’, so she dropped the idea.
Hope has brown hair and dark brown eyes. She is 5ft 7ins (1.70m) tall (though she shared she dreamt of being 5ft 9ins) and weighs around 130lbs (59kgs); her vital statistics are 36-25-36.
Hope shared the story of her decision to undergo plastic surgery and have breasts implants in the video “Boobs”. She wore a full C cup before she started professional training, but as soon as her training became harder, she started losing a lot of fat, and her breast lost its form. She insisted she did it not for modelling or for someone else, but only because it bothers herself. She also stated that as a fitness model, she lost several jobs because of her ‘fake boobs’, as her employer preferred ‘natural bodies’; however, she felt happier having her breast done.
Net worth and salary
As of 2020, Hope’s net worth is estimated to be around $1.5 million, while a sponsored post on her Instagram account may cost up to $4,200.
