Staci was born Anastasia Love Sagorsky in Devon, Pennsylvania USA, on 6 June 1975, so her zodiac sign is Gemini and she holds American nationality. She is a former actress – now a deputy district attorney – who gained recognition after portraying Nicole Bradford in the TV series “My Two Dads”, and Dana Foster in the series “Step by Step”.
Early life and education
Staci was raised alongside her sister Piper in Devon by their father Irv Sagorsky who was a car salesman, and their mother Jacqueline who was teaching at a local high school. Staci became interested in acting and modelling at a very early age. and managed to launch her modelling career when she was five, appearing in advertisements on TV and radio.
After gaining recognition, she appeared in commercials for both Hershey’s Kisses chocolate and Burger King fast food, and as her mother supported her career, the family moved to New York City so that Staci could have more opportunities. When she was 12, Staci changed her name to ‘Staci Love’, and joined a local theatre, launching her acting career.
Upon matriculating from high school, she didn’t enroll at college but focused on modelling and acting.
Film and theatre
Staci made her debut film appearance portraying the title character “Lisa” in the eponymous thriller film, the story about a girl who falls for a serial killer.
This was followed by her roles in the short films “Skooled” in 1994, “Ski Hard” and “The Read Coat” in 1995, and Staci was then praised for her portrayal of Ever in the black comedy movie “Nowhere” in 1997. The following years saw her portray Jamie in “Stolen Poem”, Rachel Wilson in “Hidden Secrets”, and Denise in “Sarah’s Choice”. Some of her last roles in films before retiring from acting were in “Holyman Undercover”, “You Again”, and “Death and Cremation” in 2010.
She appeared in several musical plays too, such as “Miss Lulu Bett” in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, “Annie” in Loch Sheldrake in New York, and “Georgia Avenue” in East Haddam in Connecticut, while two of her latest roles in musicals have been in “The King and I” and “Gypsy” both performed in Chester, Connecticut.
Staci appeared in several theatre plays such as the two-part drama “Old Glories” as well as in “Moment in the Sun”, “Last Call at Moby Dick’s”, and “Sunset Park” all performed in Hollywood, California.
Roles in TV series
Staci made her debut TV series appearance in “I’ll Take Manhattan” in 1987 and was then invited to portray the lead character Nicole Bradford in the sitcom “My Two Dads” which starred Paul Reiser and Greg Evigan and follows a teenage girl who is being guarded by her mother’s two ex-boyfriends after she dies. Staci was a member of the main cast from 1987 to 1990 and she won a Young Artist Award for the Best Young Actress Starring in a New Television Comedy Series for her performance in 1988.
She went on to portray the recurring character Lindsay Bowen in the sitcom “Going Places” appearing in 22 episodes in 1990 and 1991 and then won the role for which she is famous today. She portrayed Dana Foster, the lead character in the sitcom “Step by Step” appearing in 159 episodes between 1991 and 1998 while the series starred Patrick Duffy, Suzanne Somers, and Brandon Call and it follows a story of two families which are slowly becoming one family.
She went on to appear in a single episode of many series including “Boy Meets World” in 1996, “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” in 1997, and “Cybill” in 1998 while her final performance in TV series was in “Diagnosis: Murder” in 1998.
Career in law
After she became interested in law, Staci enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles and upon receiving her Bachelor’s degree continued her education at Southwestern Law School and obtained her attorney’s license in 2013. She is working under the name Anastasia Sagorsky in Los Angeles, and from 2014 to 2019 served in the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor before starting to work at Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office as a deputy district attorney.
Love life and relationships
Staci met Guy Birthwhistle, an actor and film producer, in 2008 when they worked together on a movie, but at the time Staci was dating someone else, and she and Guy remained only good friends.
They started dating in the early 2010s, and after several years of being in a relationship, they married on 11 February 2017 in a small ceremony attended by the two’s closest friends and family. They don’t have any children together, and it is believed that Staci doesn’t want to have any, but they have a pet dog, Wally and a pet cat Fatty.
There are rumors circulating the internet that Staci was in relationships with many of her colleague actors but she’s never commented on the rumors, although it’s also believed that she was engaged at the age of 24, but she and her alleged fiancé broke-up.
Hobbies and other interests
Staci is a huge lover of animals, and before her current pets, she was taking care of her cat Scarlet which she had for years, and was devastated when the cat died. She has donated money to several animal shelters, and has also worked with charity organizations which help underprivileged children and veterans. Staci is keen on working out, and has several training sessions at the gym each week and mostly does cardio, but mostly enjoys running at the beach. Summer is her favorite season as she like swimming in the ocean and tanning her skin under the sun.
