Rebecca King Crews is a popular American gospel singer, actress and musician, who is also famous for being the wife of the former football player and actor, Terry Crews. Her fans also praise her for her activism and motivation speeches, as well as her producing activities on TV.

Early life and family

Rebecca Anne King was born on 24 December 1965, in Harbor, Michigan USA. Her zodiac sign is Capricorn, holds American nationality, and is of African-American and Jewish descent. Her father’s name was Samuel Dean King and her mother Anna Mae Parks, however, as of 2020, her full name is Anna King Lund, as she married another man after she divorced from Rebecca’s father; Rebecca’s stepfather is Jack Winston Lund.

She has a younger sister, Elizabeth Jane, and a younger brother, Samuel Taylor Jr. After Rebecca’s father died several years ago, she shared a video of her talking on memories about her father; she said that she was proud to be her father’s daughter, yet their family had to undergo hard times, when her parents were bullied for their interracial marriage, and then when her father had problems with alcohol and was cruel to his kids and wife. Personal life, husband Terry Crews

Rebecca dated Charles Burton when she was a college junior, giving birth to their daughter, Naomi in 1986 when she was 21 years old. However, the relationship with Charles didn’t last long, and the couple split. While still studying at Michigan University, Rebecca met Terry Crews, who also was a student of her Alma Mater, having a full athletic scholarship for football – the two met in the local church, in which Rebecca was a music director, and Terry simply came to attend a church service. Terry married Rebecca on 29 July 1990, and they have four children together – Azriel, Wynfrey, Tera and Isaiah, and Terry also adopted Rebecca’s daughter, Naomi. Rebecca is now a grandmother, as Naomi gave birth to her daughter, Miley Crews.

From 2009 to 2010 Terry had serious troubles with his pornography addiction, and even underwent rehabilitation.

Rebecca wanted to divorce her husband, but eventually their marriage became even stronger when Terry overcame his addiction, and the couple took multiple sessions of family therapy. Rebecca found out the true reasons for Terry’s addiction, and it saved their marriage; Terry described their experience in his book “Manhood: How to Be a Better Man or Just Live with One” in 2014.

Terrence Alan Crews was born on 30 July 1968, in Flint, Michigan USA. Raised in a strict Christian family by his mother, Patricia Crews, who was abused by her alcoholic husband, Terry Crews Sr. After graduating from Western Michigan University, Terry pursued his football career, joining the Los Angeles Rams in 1991. He also played for the San Diego Chargers, the Washington Redskins and later the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 1997 Terry retired from the National Football League, focusing on his lifelong dream of becoming an actor. Terry landed his debut role of T-Money in “Battle Dome” TV series. Then he could be seen in such movies as “Deliver Us from Eva” (2003), “The Longest Yard” (2005), “How to Rob a Bank” (2007), and some others. From 2005 to 2009 he was a regular in “Everybody Hates Chris”, playing Julius, and appearing in more than 85 episodes of the show. Controversy with Derecka Purnell and the LGBTQ community

Terry Crews is known for his recent controversy with the LGBTQ community, after his unpleasant comment to Derecka Purnell’s post on twitter.

The human rights lawyer wrote her thoughts on the destiny of children adopted by LGBTQ community, stating that they would have a normal life and wouldn’t starve. Terry couldn’t keep himself from commenting that such kids would ‘be still severely malnourished’, which provoked massive disapproval from society. He later apologised for his words, sharing he only based his thoughts on his ‘very personal experiences as a Black Father’.

Rebecca’s daughter, Azriel Crews, born in 2002, was on her way to becoming an actress when she was not even 10 years old, but first appearing in the reality show about her family, “The Family Crews”. She later pursued her acting career bny landing the role of Erin in one of the episodes of the “Crashing” TV series. She also played Pip in “High Maintenance”, Margaret in “I Ship It”, and Janine in “In Development” all in 2019.

Appearance, surgery

Rebecca has short blonde hair which she earlier liked to have colored in pink. She has brown eyes. Rebecca is 5ft 8ins (1.73m) tall and weighs around 147lbs (67kgs); her vital statistics are not available at the moment.

On 3 March 2020 Rebecca underwent a double mastectomy after she was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer during her annual checkup. Rebecca shared in her interview with People magazine that she had that gut feeling that she had to undergo not only mammography, but the ultrasound too. The latter procedure discovered a lump in her right breast which appeared to be cancerous, as a biopsy showed. Rebecca had her surgery just a few days before the coronavirus was announced to become a pandemic.

She risked a lot visiting her surgeon on her post-surgery checkups, however, she took all the precautions to stay safe. Rebecca shared that no one in her family ever had a history of cancer. She also told People that her husband, Terry, had very hard times dealing with the thought of his wife having cancer: ‘My husband has watched me go through a lot, but the look on his face … he looked at me like I was going to die. I said, ‘I need you to be strong for me,’ and he said, ‘Okay’ and hugged me, but I think he needed that hug’, Rebecca recalled of the day she shared her diagnosis with her husband. As of April 2020, Rebecca feels well and doesn’t even need to undergo any radiation treatment.
