What relationships were they in before they tied the knot to each other?

Her parents are American but not much information about her heritage is disclosed. Her father was a lawyer with Wells Fargo, and her mother was Jean Phleger. She went to Urban High School in San Francisco, and after matriculation she graduated from the University of California, Berkley majoring in the field of Fine Arts.
Phleger met actor, musician and producer Don Johnson in 1996 through a mutual friend of theirs, while they were at Mayor Willie Brown’s birthday party. Phleger was a Montessori teacher at the time, and was already dating politician and businessman Gavin Christopher Newsom.
That relationship started way back in 1992, however, by the spring of 1997 the couple had broken up, and Phleger and Don started dating several months later; they became engaged in April 1998. Reportedly, Don bought her a big diamond ring and did the classic proposal while on his knees, and Phleger said ‘Yes’ to this instantly.
Phleger married Johnson at the Pacific Heights Mansion on 29th April 1999, Johnson’s fourth marriage. Their wedding came as a surprise to the public, but they quickly became the example of a perfect marriage in a hectic Hollywood entertainment industry.
Despite there being no pictures of their actual ceremony, their wedding planner claimed that the courtyard was decorated with butterflies and that everything was covered with silk. The best man for their wedding was actor Robert Wagner.
The couple welcomed their first child several months after their wedding, daughter Atherton Grace Johnson was born in December 1999. Their first son, Jasper Breckenridge, was born two years later, on 6th June 2001, and their second son and youngest child, Deacon Johnson, was born several years later in April 2006.
Phleger is also a stepmother of two children through her husband: Jesse Wayne Johnson who was born on 7th December 1982 and whose mother is Patti D’Arbanville, and Dakota Johnson, born on 4 October 1989 – her mother is famous actress Melanie Griffith. Both of them are big names in Hollywood. Dakota starred in big hit “50 Shades of Gray” and its sequels, and Jesse is the star of “Redline”, an action movie from 2007.
Phleger is a professional kindergarten and school teacher, and a socialite. She tries living a low-key life and rarely speaks about private matters.
This is quite the opposite of her husband, who gained prominent fame after appearing in the famous TV series “Miami Vice” as Sonny Crocket, and winning a Golden Globe Award. He also played the title role in “Nash Bridges”, a cop series from the 1990s. She is a good friend to her husband’s ex-wife, Melanie Griffith. Their eldest child and only daughter, Grace Johnson, built her own career in the modeling industry. She is signed with IMG models and has had her catwalk debut at Christian Cowan and The Powerpuff Girls fashion event in Los Angeles, California, in 2019.
Phleger only has an Instagram account on which she rarely posts and isn’t active on any other social media. Her husband, however, regularly posts on his Instagram and Twitter and on many of the pictures the family is enjoying some time together and the boys seem to enjoy sport activities. As of March 2020, the couple was last spotted at the “Knives Out” premiere in 2019.
It isn’t known how much Phleger earns on her own – she hasn’t disclosed her salary or her net worth. However, her husband has an estimated net worth of over $40 million.
They are living on a ranch in Colorado that is valued at around $15 million. Before that, they owned a huge mansion in the Santa Barbara region of California, which they sold the in 2013. Don Johnson got part of his fortune through a lawsuit that he filed in 2010. In the court case, he sued Rysher Entertainment claiming that his deal with them said that he’d get half the ownership of “Nash Bridges” if the show lasted for 66 episodes – it lasted almost twice as long. Johnson won $50 million, but after “Rysher” appealed, the award was cut to ‘only’ $15 million.
Phleger is a slim and tall woman whose height is around 6ft (1.83m). According to her own statements, she is taking good care of her body, eats only organic food and still follows a rather strict diet, does regular and intense workouts. Her hair is brown and her eyes are strikingly blue.
