In his interview to Dave Rubin on “The Rubin Report” show, Ben shared that he was against the government subsidizing gay marriages, in fact against the government getting into any kind of marriage, since he believed the government shouldn’t be involved in marriages at all. However, his words were taken out of context, and provoked a lot of speculation in the media about his being allegedly against gay marriage. ‘Now that the government enshrined gay marriage, the next step is going to be going to religious people and tell them they have to engage with same-sex weddings. So, as a religious person, this is problematic to me’, said Ben. answering the tough question of Dave Rubin.
Ben also stated that he wouldn’t go to a gay wedding, as he doesn’t want to make anyone to join his wedding in his synagogue. Even though Ben emphasized he wasn’t against gay marriage yet didn’t care about it, he was called a homophobe around social media sources. Ben also stated that he would never get AIDS (also calling it a ‘behaviorally driven disease’) as he was a virgin when he married his wife, and she was a virgin at that moment too; he didn’t take any drugs and didn’t have any promiscuous relationships, so he was sure that the only way of his gettingAIDS was a blood transfusion.
