She studied at a local high school where she first began acting, appearing in nearly all of the school’s plays, and after matriculation she enrolled at the University of New South Wales with the goal of obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. She transferred after two years, enrolling at the University of Western Sydney and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in dramatic arts in 2005.
Career as an actress
Nicole appeared in several theatre plays before making her debut TV series appearance in “All Saints” in 2005, portraying Sasha Fernandez, a recurring character. The series stars Judith McGrath and Georgie Parker and covers a team of doctors and nurses working in an emergency department.
In 2006, she appeared in a single episode of the series “Home and Away” portraying Jane Simms, and in the same year she made her debut film appearance in “Final Call”.
The year 2007 saw Nicole win her first lead role, portraying Erica ‘EC’ Eulestra in the action drama series “Dangerous”, which also starred Khan Chittenden and Brooke Satchwell and follows several people involved in a ‘forbidden love’. Nicole was praised for her performance, and was nominated for a Graham Kennedy Award for the most outstanding new talent. She appeared in a single episode of “East West 101” in the same year, and was then invited to star in the short film “The List” in 2008.
In the second half of 2008, Nicole was cast to play the lead role of Stella Dagostino in the TV drama mystery series “Rush”, which also stars Rodger Corser and Callan Mulvey and follows the Tactical Response Team – which is based on a similar team that actually existed – while the group is in charge of working on cases such as suicides and armed attacks. Nicole was shooting for the series until 2011 and then in 2012, she appeared in the short film “Stuffed” before starting to portray Franky Doyle in the TV crime drama series “Wentworth”. She was acting alongside Kate Atkinson, Robbie Magasiva, and Katrina Milosevic in this series which follows Bea Smith, a woman who is spending time in prison after trying to kill her husband.
Nicole was shooting for the show until 2018, and was nominated for three awards for her performance, winning an ASTRA Award for the most outstanding performance by an actor (female) in 2014.
Nicole appeared in a single episode of “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street” in 2016 before being invited to star in the comedy series “Doctor Doctor”, and she has been shooting for it since November 2016 to this day. Some of her latest appearances have been in TV series “Have You Been Paying Attention” in 2017, film “The Tangle” in 2018, and the show “Harrow” in 2019.

Nicole met her boyfriend John, a painter, in 2015 at a local photography exhibition – the two spent nearly the entire night chatting and starting to date several months later. In the spring of 2018, Nicole used her social media accounts to announce that she was six months pregnant, while she gave birth to her daughter in July 2018. Nicole and John are living together but are not married as they both believe that marriage can wait. They have recently adopted a dog from a rescue shelter, as they want their daughter to grow up alongside a dog.
Before John, Nicole was in a long-term relationship with her college sweetheart, and the two were together for over four years before splitting ways.
There were also rumors that she was dating her colleague actor Joshua Bitton, but neither of them has ever addressed these rumors.

Nicole is a huge lover of animals and her favorites are cows and dogs. She likes to travel and her job as an actress has taken her all around Australia, as well as to several European countries such as France, Germany and Sweden while she has also been around the USA and has visited Canada.
Nicole is a philanthropist who has donated large amounts of money to charity. while she is also a fighter for women’s rights. She became the first ‘National Champion of UN Women Australia’ in February 2014, for supporting women’s equality and their empowerment. She is physically active, having several training sessions at the gym each week, while she is also doing yoga on a daily basis.
